At first, when you plug the device into your vehicle you will see some lights turn on. These lights represent the different states of the device with colors. Please see below for the different states of the device:
Blinking amber and solid amber
When the device is in this state it means that the device is trying to establish a GPS connection. If your device has these colors be sure that the vehicle is in a spot that is not obstructed by any kind of metal ceiling so it is receiving a signal without obstruction.
Blinking green
This is the normal state of the device when there OBDII device has an established connection and your vehicle is being tracked without obstruction.
Blinking red and solid red
If your device is under this color, then the device has not been able to successfully establish a GPS connection and is trying to estimate the vehicle's location using trilateration and communicate with cellular towers in the area.
